And a Secret Service agent was caught in one sex scandal that left Kamala Harris stunned.
Drunk Secret Service agent reportedly groped Kamala Harris’ campaign staffer
The Secret Service has come under fire for allowing two assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump in the span of two months.
Now the embattled agency is dealing with a scandal involving the conduct of one of its agents.
The Daily Mail reported that a Secret Service agent who was falling-down drunk groped a campaign staffer of Vice President Kamala Harris at a Wisconsin hotel.
“He may have tried to grope another woman present too,” a source told the Daily Mail.
The Secret Service agent approached a group of Kamala’s campaign staffers at a bar and restaurant in Green Bay, Wisconsin where they were doing advance work to prepare an upcoming event.
Kamala’s campaign eventually canceled the event to hold one in Georgia instead.
The Secret Service agent was already drunk when he approached the group of female Kamala campaign staffers.
Kamala’s staffers were celebrating their last night in town and went back to their hotel room while the Secret Service agent followed along.
“There’s no misunderstanding about what happened,” the source explained. “It’s just him being a drunk doofus at a bar.”
“The staff came in and recognized him from being in the same orbit, and they allowed him to join the group,” the source added.
Secret Service is embarrassed again
The drunk Secret Service agent tried to put the moves on one of the Kamala staffers.
He followed that woman back to her hotel room and lunged at her chest.
“He was a hot mess and at some point wound up on the hotel hallway floor,” the source explained. “There’s some video of him being intoxicated on the floor. He was annihilated.”
The agent was sent back to Washington, D.C. after his drunken escapades.
Secret Service officials admitted to the Daily Caller that the incident was under investigation.
“The U.S. Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating a misconduct allegation involving an employee,” a Secret Service spokesman said in a statement. “The Secret Service holds its personnel to the highest standards. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Kamala’s campaign is aware of what happened with the drunken Secret Service agent.
The source said that the incident wouldn’t be the end of the agent’s career.
“He’s going to be investigated, he’s no longer going to be working for the VP, and his career will be adversely impacted,” the source explained.
The Kamala staffer was a low-level member of the campaign and is in her early 20s.
“The victim’s okay, but deeply concerned at not having her name attached to this,” the source said. “This is not what she wants to be known for.”
This scandal comes on the heels of a scathing preliminary report from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that called the July 13 assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania “foreseeable” and “preventable.”
Problems are continuing to pile up for the Secret Service with no end in sight as the agency refuses to hold its leaders responsible.
