Bill Clinton was famous for his love of McDonald’s in the White House.

The chain just isn’t quite the same for him anymore.

And a routine McDonald’s visit left Bill Clinton scared out of his wits.

Bill Clinton shocked by McDonald’s visit while campaigning for Kamala

Former President Bill Clinton is hitting the campaign trail for Vice President Kamala Harris.

He’s trying to work his old magic by visiting rural areas of North Carolina and Georgia for small events.

Clinton went on a vegan diet in 2004 after undergoing a heart procedure.

But the former President couldn’t help but make a pit stop at his old favorite McDonald’s while campaigning in Georgia.

A video was posted on social media of Clinton in the McDonald’s wearing a USA jacket.

The McDonald’s employee at the counter had no idea who he was.

“You Joe? Mr. Joe,” the employee asked.

The employee thought that the 78-year-old was President Joe Biden with his Secret Service entourage.

Eventually, she was clued into the fact that she was standing face-to-face with America’s 42nd President.

“Bill? Oh my God, hi Bill!” the employee said.

Clinton hammed it up as the employees took pictures with him.

“Take my picture,” the excited employee said. “This is Bill y’all!”

America’s first black President doesn’t have the cache with voters that he once had.

Kamala hoped that Clinton would be a secret weapon on the campaign trail for her but his trip to McDonald’s revealed that his political relevance is dwindling.

The heyday of the scandal-plagued Clinton administration was last century.

Bill Clinton’s love affair with McDonald’s

Clinton was the most famous McDonald’s fan in the country during his time in the White House.

He went to the McDonald’s in Little Rock, Arkansas so many times when he was the state’s Governor the location put up a plaque in his honor.

“Bill Clinton made regular stops at this downtown McDonald’s during his morning runs from the Arkansas governor’s mansion,” the plaque reads. “Thank you for your business, Mr. President.”

He was famous for stopping by McDonald’s during the early days of his Presidency on his morning jog.

Clinton’s love of McDonald’s was even turned into a skit by NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Comedian Phil Hartman played a jovial Clinton stopping in McDonald’s during a jog.

“Let me tell you something, there’s gonna be a whole bunch of things we don’t tell Mrs. Clinton. Fast food is the least of our worries, okay, buddy?” Hartman’s Clinton tells a Secret Service agent played by Kevin Nealon in the skit.

Hartman’s Clinton goes around eating the customer’s orders in the sketch.

Clinton even worked in a joke about McDonald’s during his speech at the Democratic National Convention in August.

“When she was a student, she worked at McDonald’s,” Clinton said about Kamala. “She greeted every person with that thousand-watt smile and said, ‘How can I help you?’ And now, she’s at the pinnacle of power, she’s still asking ‘How can I help you?’”

“I’ll be so happy when she actually enters the White House because, at last, she’ll break my record as the President who has spent the most time at McDonald’s,” Clinton added.

While Kamala Harris claims to have worked at McDonald’s and worked the fryer and ice cream, the claim remains unproven, leading Donald Trump to challenge the claim as an outright lie.

To mock her unsubstantiated claim, Donald Trump has announced he’s going to serve fries at an undisclosed McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, adding “If I work there for 10 minutes, I will have worked there longer than her.”
