Donald Trump got sandbagged in the final weeks of the 2024 election.
Trump got double crossed by a member of his own party.
And a RINO traitor’s unthinkable betrayal may hand Kamala Harris the White House.
Nebraska Republicans fail to push through changes to state’s Electoral College vote allocation
The main reason conservatives disdain their establishment is that Republican leadership simply fails to fight as hard as Democrats.
Nebraska Republican Governor Jim Pillen threw in the towel in an effort to change how Nebraska awards Electoral College votes.
Currently Nebraska awards its Electoral College votes by Congressional District.
That means even though Donald Trump could win the state by 15 or more points, Kamala Harris could win one Electoral College vote by carrying the more Democrat-leaning Second Congressional District that contains the city of Omaha.
Republicans tried to push through legislation awarding Nebraska’s Electoral College votes on a winner take all basis.
Doing so would mean Trump could reach 270 Electoral College votes by winning Nebraska and the four Sun Belt states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina.
Trump wouldn’t need to flip a “blue wall” state in the Midwest to win re-election.
But Pillan gave up in the face of opposition from Democrat-turned-Republican State Senator Michael McDonnell.
“Senator Mike McDonnell of Omaha has confirmed he is unwilling to vote for winner-takes-it-all before the 2024 election,” Pillen stated. “That is profoundly disappointing to me and the many others who have worked so earnestly to ensure all Nebraskans’ votes are sought after equally this election.”
“Based on the lack of 33 votes, I have no plans to call a special session on this issue prior to the 2024 election,” Pillen added. “I am grateful to the many Nebraskans who made their voices heard during this process.”
The GOP establishment lets conservatives down
McDonnell released a statement that barely explained why he left Republicans high and dry.
“Elections should be an opportunity for all voters to be heard, no matter who they are, where they live, or what party they support,” McDonnell stated.
“I have taken time to listen carefully to Nebraskans and national leaders on both sides of the issue. After deep consideration, it is clear to me that right now, 43 days from Election Day, is not the moment to make this change,” McDonnell added.
There is little doubt in the minds of conservatives that if this was the Democrat Party, then Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama would have forced McDonnell to flip his vote and support changing Nebraska’s Electoral College allocation laws.
Pelosi and Obama overturned the will of 14,000,000 primary voters to force Joe Biden out of the race simply because they didn’t think he could win.
Democrats tried to ban Donald Trump from the ballot and jail him before Election Day to keep Trump out of the White House.
Republicans see Democrat Party leaders act ruthlessly and fight to win.
Republicans see their own party leaders give up and quit at the first sign of resistance.
