The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan will go down as one of the biggest foreign policy debacles in American history.
Vice President Kamala Harris bragged that she was the “last person in the room” when President Joe Biden signed off the disastrous plan to pull out.
No one was fired by the Biden-Harris administration for the debacle.
Instead, Kamala and Biden ignore Afghanistan rather than own up to their failure.
Former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan – host of the popular Shawn Ryan Show podcast – told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the Biden-Harris administration didn’t learn anything from the Afghanistan debacle.
“I personally don’t think any lessons have been learned. It obviously worked to sweep it under the rug and try to get it out of the media, which they did a really good job of, especially when it first happened,” Ryan said.
Democrats and their media allies have tried to pin the blame on Trump for negotiating the withdrawal with the Taliban.
But that claim rings hollow, according to Ryan.
“Yes, Trump did negotiate [the withdrawal] with the Taliban in 2020,” Ryan explained. “But there were very strict guidelines laid out in that agreement, and none of those guidelines were followed.”
A failure to plan is a plan to fail
Ryan pointed to the poor planning and execution by the Biden-Harris administration for the failure.
“I think that had Trump done it, I’m sure he would have followed the calculated plan that he and his cabinet came up with,” Ryan stated. “But unfortunately, all the Biden administration did was give the word to pull out. There was nothing strategic about how it went down.”
More than $7 billion in advanced American weaponry was abandoned in Afghanistan during the withdrawal that fell into the hands of the Taliban.
Helicopters, armored personnel carriers, small arms, night vision goggles, ammunition, and more were left in perfect working order during the chaotic withdrawal.
The Taliban celebrated the third anniversary of retaking the country with a massive military parade to show off the weaponry that Biden and Kamala gifted them.

Ryan said that some of the blame for the debacle falls on the shoulders of Kamala.
“If she had anything to do with the planning, then she’s at fault, and she is supposedly his top adviser, correct? So I’d say that blame certainly falls on her,” Ryan said. “More broadly, actually, it probably falls on her more than him, because he’s completely incompetent in running the country, which means she should have been pulling some strings from behind the scenes.”
Kamala Harris is seeking a promotion to the highest office in the land, but she refuses to take any responsibility for the debacle in Afghanistan.
