Hollywood starlet Eva Longoria announces she’s moving overseas
Every time a Republican wins the Presidential election, entertainers threaten to move abroad in protest.
Most of them never follow through on these threats but this election one Hollywood actress pulled the trigger.
Actress Eva Longoria claims that she moved her family out of the “dystopian” to split their time between Mexico and Spain.
The 49-year-old Desperate Housewives actress cited President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in the election as part of the reason for her decision to flee Los Angeles, California.
“The shocking part is not that he won,” Longoria told Marie Claire magazine. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office. If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
Longoria admitted to becoming depressed after Trump’s victory in the 2016 Election over two-time failed Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
She was one of the many celebrities who campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris this election in vain.
“It was like, ‘Does my vote really matter? Am I really making a difference?’” Longoria explained. “I was so untethered to the core of what I believe because I truly believed in my soul that the best person wins. And then that happened, and I was like, ‘Oh, wait. The best person doesn’t win.’”

Longoria also revealed that California’s growing problems were a reason that she decided to leave the country.
“I had my whole adult life here,” Longoria explained. “But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom has presided over a stunning downfall of the country’s largest state.
Homelessness and crime have become out of control and no one is safe from it.
Celebrities in Los Angeles like Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, Jesse J, and others have been the victims of home invasions.
Nowhere is safe from the rising crime in California.
Longoria said that she doesn’t spend as much in Los Angeles for work as she used to, which made her decision easier.
She said that she’s “privileged” to be able to leave California behind for a life abroad.
“I get to escape and go somewhere,” Longoria stated. “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
The TV and movie industry has been shifting production out of Hollywood to places like New Mexico and Georgia because of lower costs and tax incentives.
Celebrities like Eva Longoria are fleeing Los Angeles because life in Hollywood isn’t glamorous anymore.
