Joe Biden’s Presidency is going down the tubes in record time.
His Democrat allies are starting to break with him on one major disaster.
And a leading Democrat gave Joe Biden a devastating reality check that left him frantic.
The incompetence and indifference from President Joe Biden are on full display during the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
A train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in the Ohio town, releasing them into the air and into the water supply.
Instead of taking charge of the situation, the Biden regime has been asleep at the switch while a major environmental disaster unfolds.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg waited ten days to publicly comment on the disaster.
Instead, he spent his time whining about white men in the construction industry.
The botched handling of the East Palestine disaster led one prominent Democrat to turn on the President.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) slammed the Biden regime’s response to the train derailment during an appearance on Fox News.
“I do think that’s a disaster,” Khanna said. “These are working class folks, they’ve been abandoned by the country with NAFTA [North American Free Trade Agreement], with the World Trade Organization and the mission of China.”
Initially, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) turned down disaster assistance to East Palestine because they claimed it wasn’t a traditional disaster like a hurricane.
After former President Donald Trump announced that he was visiting the town, FEMA reversed course.
“Now they’ve got poison in their air, in their water,” Khanna continued. “I don’t think it’s gotten enough media attention.”
The media has mostly ignored the story because it happened in Appalachian Ohio in a county that overwhelmingly backed Trump in 2020.
“I think we should have administration officials there, the Department of Transportation and others to do town halls to answer questions,” Khanna explained. “They need to be far more assertive; I mean, it’s awful what’s going on, and I don’t think we’ve done enough for people there.”
At a town hall in East Palestine, a resident asked the Mayor Trent Conaway where Pete Buttigieg was during the ordeal.
The Mayor replied, “your guess is as good as mine.”
Mayor Conaway also revealed that the Biden regime took weeks before reaching out to him.
Instead of stepping up, Buttigieg is trying to pass the buck.
The Transportation Secretary falsely blamed Donald Trump for the derailment after a change to braking rules for trains.
But the Biden regime has made no effort to change the rule and it wouldn’t have applied to the type of train traveling through East Palestine.
Even Democrats can’t defend the Biden regime’s botched handling of the tragedy in East Palestine.
