Kamala Harris’ campaign acts like she’s in the driver’s seat for the election.
But behind the scenes, it’s a vastly different story.
And a journalist spilled the beans on this dirty little secret about Kamala Harris.
Democrats and the media declare Kamala Harris debate winner
No matter what happened in the Presidential debate on ABC News, Vice President Kamala Harris was going to be declared the big winner.
Democrats and their media allies already had the stories written and the narratives set before the debate occurred.
Biased ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis protected Kamala during the debate by incorrectly fact-checking former President Donald Trump with false information.
Trump was thrown into a three-on-one debate against Kamala and the ABC moderators.
Kamala was declared the overwhelming winner of the debate by Democrats and her public relations team in the media.
MSNBC declared it one of the greatest debate performances in all of human history.
Veteran journalist Mark Halperin revealed that the private reaction by Kamala’s campaign about the debate was very different during an appearance on Newmax’s Wake Up America.
Halperin has been one of the most plugged-in insiders this cycle after he broke the story that President Joe Biden was going to drop out of the race in July.
He said that Kamala’s campaign was pushing hard for a second debate against Trump because she didn’t do enough to sell herself or her plans to voters.
Kamala the big loser of the debate?
Trump announced that he wasn’t going to debate her again.
“I think he’s trying to get the debate on friendly terms and see if he can force Kamala Harris, because the dirty little secret is the Harris campaign wants another debate because they think they need it, because she didn’t do a full, adequate job of introducing herself to the country, convincing them that she’s ready to be president and she’s got specific plans,” Halperin said.
The instant reaction polls after the debate all found that voters thought that Kamala was the winner.
Halperin explained how those flash polls were misleading.
“These post-debate polls are not of undecided voters,” Halperin explained. “They’re of all voters. And undecided voters are different than all voters. To do a poll of undecided voters, though, is extremely expensive because it costs a lot of money to find undecided voters to poll.”
The hosts on MSNBC and CNN may have been raving about Kamala’s debate but their opinion doesn’t matter.
Halperin noted that reporting from The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal after the debate found that undecided voters were “anecdotally” not “as impressed with Kamala Harris as all the MSNBC anchors were about how she did.”
A focus group of undecided voters by Reuters found that six out of the ten were leaning toward Trump after the debate.
Kamala may have delighted Democrat cable news pundits but she failed to explain her agenda to voters or give them a reason to vote for her.
