Joe Biden handed American citizenship to 260,000 children in a single year who would not have qualified under Trump's executive order.
Now the Supreme Court is deciding whether any of it was ever legal.

Biden's Anchor Baby Explosion Hit 260,000 in a Single Year
The Pew Research Center just crunched the 2023 birth data, and the numbers are devastating.
Nearly one in ten babies born in the United States that year – 320,000 out of 3.6 million – had at least one parent who was an illegal immigrant or temporary visa holder.
Of those, 260,000 would not have qualified for birthright citizenship under President Trump's executive order.
That's the population of Orlando handed American passports because Joe Biden left the southern border wide open for four years.
Heritage Foundation analyst Brandy Perez Carbaugh spelled out exactly what those 260,000 citizenship grants cost American taxpayers.
"Under the current erroneous birthright citizenship interpretation, these children automatically become citizens and unlock food stamps, welfare, specialized schooling for English education, and eventually college aid," Carbaugh told the New York Post.
Carbaugh didn't stop there.
"High volumes of illegal and temporary aliens are having children in the US because they are exploiting the decades-old erroneous interpretation that such children are US citizens," she added.
Pew Research Data Shows Anchor Baby Births Hit Obama Era Levels Under Biden
The Pew data doesn't just show 2023.
It shows a pattern that tracks the border directly.
In 1990, births to illegal immigrant mothers were roughly 3% of all American births – about 120,000 babies.
By 2006, that number exploded to 380,000, or 9% of all births.
Then enforcement cracked down and the number dropped.
By 2023 – after four years of Biden's open-border disaster – anchor baby births hit 320,000, the highest total since 2010, the second year of the Obama administration, when 325,000 babies were born to illegal immigrant parents.

When you enforce the border, the numbers drop.
When Biden threw it open, they shot back up to Obama-era levels within three years.
That's not a coincidence.
That's cause and effect.

The Supreme Court is now hearing Trump v. Barbara, the case challenging Trump's executive order limiting birthright citizenship.
The 14th Amendment – adopted in 1868 after the Civil War – reads: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States."
Democrats want you to believe that "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means anyone who physically sets foot in the country.
The Department of Justice argues that's flatly wrong.
The amendment was written to guarantee citizenship to freed slaves – people who had no legal status despite spending their entire lives on American soil through no choice of their own.
It was not written to hand passports to people who entered illegally, stayed temporarily, or flew in on a tourist visa to give birth.
The DOJ's argument is straightforward: undocumented immigrants and visa holders are not under the full political jurisdiction of the United States the way permanent residents and citizens are.
Their presence is either unauthorized or conditional.
That makes all the difference.
Democrats like to cite the 1898 case Wong Kim Ark as the definitive answer.
It isn't.
Wong Kim Ark was born in San Francisco to Chinese parents who were legal residents of the United States – not tourists, not illegal aliens, not temporary visa holders.

Legal residents.
The Supreme Court's ruling in that case was never a blank check for birthright citizenship regardless of parental status.
Democrats have been pretending it was for decades.
The Supreme Court is expected to issue its ruling in late June or early July.
If the Court upholds Trump's order, it will be the most significant citizenship ruling in more than a century – and the anchor baby loophole that Biden exploited for four years will finally be closed.
The men who wrote the 14th Amendment were trying to repair one of the greatest injustices in American history.
Biden turned their amendment into a loophole factory.
