A Goodfellas star wants a network to sleep with the fishes for this woke betrayal

The Left has launched a cultural revolution against anything that doesn’t conform to their woke worldview.

Even classic movies are getting trampled in this stampede.

Now a Goodfellas star wants a network to sleep with the fishes for this woke betrayal.

Streaming service puts a trigger warning on Goodfellas

Trigger warnings became all the rage on woke college campuses to warn students that certain content could offend their delicate sensibilities.

Now, it’s spreading out into the real world with horrifying results.

Viewers watching mob movie classic Goodfellas on streaming service AMC+  or the AMC television channel were greeted with a trigger warning for content from AMC Networks.

“This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today’s standards of inclusion and tolerance and may offend some viewers,” the AMC warning reads.

AMC never specified what the offensive cultural stereotypes were, but it was likely for Goodfella’s portrayal of the Italian-American mob and the attitude toward women by some of the characters.

The Martin Scorsese-directed film is generally regarded as one of the best mob movies of all time.

And it’s based on the true story of mobster Henry Hill, who was a member of New York’s infamous Lucchese crime family.

Goodfellas was nominated for six Academy Awards and five Golden Globes.

The Library of Congress picked the film for its National Film Registry for preservation in 2000 for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

The New York Post reached out to AMC Networks to get an explanation for the trigger warning.

“In 2020, we began adding advisories in front of certain films that include racial or cultural references that some viewers might find offensive,” an AMC spokesman told the Post.

Goodfellas was swept up in the cultural revolution that descended on the country after the death of George Floyd, where corporations were deathly afraid of offending anyone during the peak of Black Lives Matter.

Mob movie aficionados noted that Director Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 mob classic The Godfather received a normal “viewer discretion is advised” warning for “brief nudity, strong language, and intense violence.”

Now, one of the best mob movies ever made fell victim to the woke outrage mob.

Goodfellas actors slam the decision to give it a trigger warning

Outrage poured in after Goodfellas was slapped with a trigger warning.

Actor Frank Sivero played mobster Frankie Carbone in the movie.

He told TMZ that he was outraged at what AMC had done to it.

“I’m kind of a little bit perturbed in a way, that AMC that even, AMC even cuts the movie completely, you don’t hear the language, they delete the language, so why are they so upset?” Sivero wondered.

Scorsese let the cast of the movie improvise many of the lines in the movie.

“I’m a little perturbed because thank God I was able to do my job by improvisation,” Sivero said. “I created that, I made those moments real, to take the tension away from those gruesome moments.”

AMC came under fire in the past for putting a trigger warning on the 1939 epic Gone with the Wind.

Now Goodfellas was just the latest victim of a woke hit job by AMC.
