A disgraced Never-Trumper hinted at one laughable political Hail Mary

The Never-Trumpers are on the run.

They have been fully rejected by the Republican base.

And a disgraced Never Trumper hinted at one laughable political Hail Mary.

Trump-deranged Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger is about to get a reality check.

He thought he could curry favor with the Democrats by constantly attacking Donald Trump and Republican colleagues, but the Democrats rewarded his betrayal with an Illinois Congressional map that put him in a heavy blue district.

Kinzinger whined about the redistricting process, then announced he would not be seeking re-election.

Now the deluded Kinzinger thinks he has what it takes to run for Senator, Governor, or even President.

Breitbart reports:

In a Thursday interview with CNN, Kinzinger said he is considering potential bids for the U.S. Senate in Illinois or the governor’s mansion. The anti-MAGA lawmaker added that he “definitely” isn’t ruling out a 2024 campaign for the highest office in the land…Kinzinger was one of 10 House Republican members who voted to impeach Trump for “incitement of insurrection” after the January 6 Capitol riot. At the time, the Illinois Republican accused the former president of inciting the riot, explaining, “[I]f these actions — the Article II branch inciting a deadly insurrection against the Article I branch — are not worthy of impeachment, then what is an impeachable offense?”

Kinzinger arrogantly posited, “The key is, how do we restore the honor of the party in the country?”

Whatever the answer may be, it does not include Kinzinger.

Illinois Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi laid out why Kinzinger has no chance:

“It would be very hard. If you’re a Republican here in our state, it’s not easy unless you embrace Trump. So that’s question number one . . . And question number two is, do you embrace a lot of the policies that are popular in Illinois? […] So I’m not sure what the path is.”

As for a national campaign, both Kinzinger and Liz Cheney’s names are mud with Republican voters.

They’re both wildly unpopular as they push forward with the January 6 commission.

Kinzinger’s best bet is to grovel at the feet of CNN or MSNBC for a consulting gig.
