A Democrat Senator ended up in the hospital and Laura Ingraham had this stunning reaction.
Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman checked himself into the hospital on Thursday for inpatient treatment for clinical depression.
Fetterman’s Chief of Staff Adam Jentleson released a statement explaining that Fetterman suffered from depression during his life and it grew worse in recent weeks.
“Last night, Senator John Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for clinical depression,” Jentleson stated. “While John has experienced depression on and off throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks.”
In recent weeks, Fetterman spent multiple days in the hospital receiving treatment after experiencing headaches during Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech.
Fetterman nearly died after suffering a stroke in May but Democrats rushed him back onto the campaign trail because of the importance of the Pennsylvania Senate race.
It was only after Fetterman entered the hospital that the media finally came clean on the true impairment Fetterman suffered from.
The New York Times reported that Fetterman now knows rushing back onto the campaign trail will leave him as a permanently diminished version of himself.
“The stroke — after which he had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted — also took a less apparent but very real psychological toll on Mr. Fetterman. It has been less than a year since the stroke transformed him from someone with a large stature that suggested machismo — a central part of his political identity — into a physically altered version of himself, and he is frustrated at times that he is not yet back to the man he once was. He has had to come to terms with the fact that he may have set himself back permanently by not taking the recommended amount of rest during the campaign. And he continues to push himself in ways that people close to him worry are detrimental,” The Times exclusively reported.
Americans reacted with sadness as no one wants to see Fetterman suffer.
But conservatives like Laura Ingraham pointed out that Fetterman may never fully recover because his wife and other Democrats forced him back out onto the campaign trail over fear of losing a Senate seat.
“Before we let you go, what do you think of Gisele Fetterman, who pushed this poor man to run for Senate?” Ingraham asked guest Ned Ryun. “Now he ends up in the hospital with clinical depression after already being hospitalized. I mean, is there a more twisted scenario than this, frankly cruel scenario than this?”
Ryun compared Fetterman’s wife Gisele to the villainous Lady McBeth.
“It feels very much like a Lady Macbeth situation, which, she’s very ambitious and she used her impaired husband as the vehicle to achieve some of her ambitions,” Ryun shot back
“It’s sickening and cruel,” Ingraham responded.
“It is,” Ryun agreed.
