Donald Trump is bringing strong leadership back to the White House.

That’s ruffling the feathers of some politicians north of the border.

And a Canadian politician made one scary threat of revenge against Donald Trump.

Canadian politician responds to Trump’s tariffs by threatening to cut off electricity

President-elect Donald Trump sent a message to Canada and Mexico that they needed to start taking action to secure their borders before he takes office in January.

Trump threatened to put a 25% tariff on every product coming from those two countries unless they did more to stop the flood of illegal aliens and drugs into the country.

“As everyone is aware, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs at levels never seen before,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders.”

The President-elect vowed to keep the tariffs in place until Mexico and Canada took action to secure their borders.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau flew down to Mar-a-Lago to have dinner with Trump shortly after he announced the potential tariffs.

The leader of Canada’s largest province thought that he could play hardball with the President-elect.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford predicted that Trump would follow through on his tariffs during a meeting with Trudeau and other Canadian politicians.

“We need to be ready. We need to be ready to fight,” Ford said. “This fight is coming 100 percent on January 20 or January 21.”

Ford proposed retaliating against the United States by cutting off electricity from his province.

“We will go to the extent of cutting off their energy — going down to Michigan, going down to New York State and over to Wisconsin,” Ford declared. “I don’t want this to happen, but my number one job is to protect Ontarians and Canadians as a whole.”

Ontario Premier admits that Donald Trump means business

Ford welcomed a potential meeting with Trump despite his tough talk over tariffs.

“I’d never refuse a meeting with any President,” Ford said. “It doesn’t matter who it is.”

The Ontario Premier noted that Trump is “a little more aggressive” than his last term in office.

“He’s a different type of cat, to say the least,” Ford stated.

Ford called out the Mexican government for violating the trade deal the three countries signed to replace NAFTA during the first Trump administration.

“Since signing onto the USMCA, Mexico has allowed itself to become a back door for Chinese cars, auto parts and other products into Canadian and American markets,” Ford explained. “If Mexico isn’t going to play by the rules, they shouldn’t have a seat at the table.”

He put the Mexican government on notice over who it wanted to align with.

“You’re either with Beijing or you’re with Washington,” Ford said. “And I can tell you, Ontario and Canadians, they’re with Washington.”
