A man named Bob gave a stranger a ride home in the rain.
That single act of kindness left a grown man in tears – and exposed every lie the global media has told about America for a decade.
Sebastian Kraus came here terrified and left crying so hard on live television he had to dry his eyes with his Germany jersey.
He Was Scared to Come Here
The media did that to him.
Kraus told NBC 10 Boston he had been genuinely nervous about making the trip.
"To be honest, I was a bit scared or had a fear to travel to the United States," he said. "News about shootings and criminals and that the country's not safe."
That fear didn't come from experience.
It came from years of anti-American coverage pumped into European living rooms by the same media class that lectures everyone else about disinformation.
Then Kraus landed in Boston.
His group got stuck after a match – no ride, no plan, rain coming down.

A man named Bob pulled over with his family and drove them to their hotel.
No agenda.
No payment.
Just a regular American doing what regular Americans do.
Kraus was so moved by it that he watched the clip of the goodbye back 40 times.
Germany Lost. He Didn't Care.
Germany's World Cup run ended in the Round of 32 – a 4–3 penalty shootout loss to Paraguay.
That should have been the headline of his trip.
NBC 10 reporter Oscar Margáin told viewers that Kraus was more distressed about leaving the United States than about Germany's elimination.
Kraus then extended his stay just to spend the Fourth of July in Washington, D.C. before flying home.
"I fall in love with this country and this was so emotional, I even cried in the stadium," he said on camera – then turned away, pulled his jersey over his face, and broke down again.
"America is great," he said. "Americans are not rude. Germans are not rude. If we are together, we can achieve great things."
That's not a tourist review.
That's a man whose entire view of a country got rebuilt by one ride home in the rain.

Kraus is not an outlier.
The 2026 World Cup has turned into the largest live fact-check of anti-American media bias in history – and the media is losing badly.
Visitors from dozens of countries arrived bracing for something dangerous and broken.

Instead they found strangers holding doors, cops posing for photos with kids, neighbors grilling in their backyards, and a man named Bob willing to give wet strangers a lift.
British fans went viral openly admitting they had been wrong about Americans.
German fan Freddy became an internet sensation documenting his road trip through the Deep South – calling Taco Bell near Atlanta "the holy land" and rating his 1 a.m. Waffle House experience a 10 out of 10.
Consumer spending by international visitors in World Cup host cities is running nearly 17% ahead of last year, according to Bank of America.
People who actually come here don't want to leave.
And Sebastian Kraus is heading home to tell everyone he knows about the America he actually found – not the one CNN and the European press spent years inventing.
That's the story they'll never run.
That America is great.
