Joe Biden has weaponized the federal government against his political opponents.
Now he’s doing something that has never been done before.
And Joe Biden ordered a shocking arrest for one crime against the Green New Deal.
First federal arrest made over climate change
There is no disagreeing with the Left on the subject of climate change.
Democrats claimed that the science is settled – which ignores the fact that science is constantly evolving – and that it’s set in stone that the climate is changing from man-made greenhouse gas emissions.
Climate change has become an article of faith in the Democrat Party.
Now the federal government is arresting heretics against their quasi-religion.
President Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a report for his final year in office that outlined the penalties the agency doled out to climate criminals.
The American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act requires the United States to reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by 86% by 2036.
HFCs are the synthetic gases used as refrigerants in air conditioning, aerosols, fire extinguishers, and building insulation.
They’ve been accused of causing climate change as greenhouse gases.
The AIM Act moved the United States into compliance with the globalist Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, which would wind down the use of HFCs.
San Diego resident Michael Hart was arrested under the AIM Act for criminal charges related to “smuggling potent greenhouse gases.”
Hart was the first person arrested under the law.
Biden-Harris administration boasts about arrest over climate crimes
U.S. Attorney Tara McGrath argued that Hart’s prosecution was a landmark prosecution over illegal greenhouse gases.
“This office is at the forefront of environmental prosecutions, and today is a significant milestone for our country,” McGrath claimed. “This is the first time the Department of Justice is prosecuting someone for illegally importing greenhouse gases, and it will not be the last. We are using every means possible to protect our planet from the harm caused by toxic pollutants, including bringing criminal charges.”
The EPA noted that for the fiscal year 2024, the agency doled out $1.7 billion in administrative and judicial penalties.
And the EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance filed criminal charges against 121 defendants and had 1,851 civil lawsuits.
Criminal cases brought by the EPA jumped by 17.6% from 2023.
“In Fiscal Year 2024, EPA’s enforcement and compliance assurance program produced its strongest results since 2017, focusing on efforts to combat climate change and tackling some of the nation’s most significant environmental threats to our shared air, water and land,” EPA Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance assistant administrator David M. Uhlmann said. “The progress made under the Biden-Harris Administration has sent a clear signal that polluters will be held accountable and that protecting communities from harm is a top priority.”
House Republicans have tried unsuccessfully to strip EPA Criminal Investigation Division agents of their ability to carry firearms.
Now the reign of terror at the EPA is coming to an end with President-elect Donald Trump returning to the White House and new leadership for the rogue agency.
