The Buffalo Bills are known for having one of the wildest fanbases in the NFL dubbed the “Bills Mafia.”
But some people thought the Bills Mafia crossed the line at a recent tailgate.
The Las Vegas Raiders taunted Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes this summer with a Kermit the Frog puppet with a wig that was similar to Mahomes hair and a jersey with his number 15 on it.
Raiders players used it to mock Mahomes who some say his voice sounds like Kermit.
The 29-year-old quarterback has taken the comparisons to the Muppets character in stride.
“I’ve gotten used to it,” Mahomes said. “It’s like the joke that keeps giving. I’ve heard it all, jokes about Kermit the Frog or about smoking cigarettes. It’s unique, so maybe I’ll get a deal from having that unique voice.”
The Bills and the Chiefs have become heated rivals as two of the top teams in the AFC with Kansas City knocking Buffalo out of the playoffs three of the last four years.
Bills fans were going hard during tailgating in anticipation of the team’s most recent matchup with the Chiefs.
A picture emerged of a Kermit the Frog doll dressed as Mahomes hanging on a street near the Bills stadium.

Taylor Swift was outraged over Bills fans hanging Patrick Mahomes in effigy
Pop star Taylor Swift is the most famous Kansas City fan in the world after she started dating Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce last year.
The Daily Mail reported that she reached out to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Patrick Mahomes after images of the Kermit effigy went viral on social media.
“Taylor’s friends said she and Travis found it incredibly disturbing. She has talked to Brittany who was really taken aback,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Kelce and Mahomes had their homes robbed last month in the Kansas City area by a suspected South American crime ring.
“Considering the recent burglaries and then to have this stunt with Kermit happen goes to show all of them that they really need to be vigilant when it comes to their security,” the Daily Mail’s source added.
Swift and the Mahomes want to get to the bottom of who hung the Kermit the Frog doll in Buffalo.
“They would all like to find out who did this, and footage should reveal it. Not to press charges, per se, but just to know that it was nothing more sinister than a joking Bills fan,” the Daily Mail’s source explained.
Some social media users assumed there was a racial angle with hanging an effigy of Mahomes.
But it was pointed out that this was a common occurrence against opposing quarterbacks the Bills are playing.
