Jack Smith spent two years trying to see to it that Donald Trump died in prison.
Now that Trump won the election, Smith is facing a reckoning.
And Donald Trump prepared one nasty surprise that Jack Smith will hate.
Donald Trump plans to fire Jack Smith prosecutors
The immediate result of Donald Trump scoring a decisive re-election win was the end of Democrats’ lawfare against him.
Smith filed in court that he intends to wind down his January 6 and Mar-a-Lago document hoaxes against Donald Trump sometime in December.
And Smith announced plans to resign as special counsel before Trump takes office.
But that didn’t mean the fight against the weaponized justice system was over.
As part of Trump’s plan to reform the Justice Department to drain the Swamp, Trump plans to fire the prosecutors who worked for Smith who critics contend bent the law to invent crimes to charge Trump with.
“President-elect Donald Trump plans to fire the entire team that worked with special counsel Jack Smith to pursue two federal prosecutions against the former president, including career attorneys typically protected from political retribution, according to two individuals close to Trump’s transition,” The Washington Post reported.
Incoming White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sent The Washington Post a statement confirming that cleaning the house of rogue prosecutors at the Department of Justice who abused their power to target political foes was a key campaign promise.
“President Trump campaigned on firing rogue bureaucrats who have engaged in the illegal weaponization of our American justice system, and the American people can expect he will deliver on that promise,” Leavitt’s statement read.
Leavitt pointed out Donald Trump’s landslide win provided a mandate for Trump to clean house at the Justice Department.
“One of the many reasons that President Trump won the election in a landslide is Americans are sick and tired of seeing their tax dollars spent on targeting the Biden-Harris Administration’s political enemies rather than going after real violent criminals in our streets,” Leavitt continued.
Leavitt sent a follow-up statement adding that nothing was official until Donald Trump said so.
“President Trump and his transition team speak for him, and anonymous sources not affiliated with him have no idea what they are talking about,” Leavitt added.
Trump plans to sign an executive order called “Schedule F.”
Schedule F would allow Trump to convert thousands of so-called “career” employees – those with civil service protections – into the equivalent of political employees.
That status change means they would serve at the pleasure of the President and Trump could fire them at will.
This executive order is Trump’s secret weapon to drain the Swamp and warn any agent saboteurs inside the Department of Justice not to think about trying to undermine his Presidency from within like the Russia collusion hoax they pushed in Trump’s first term.
