MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is one of the most left-wing Trump haters in the media.
But MSNBC’s ratings have been tanking.
And Rachel Maddow felt sick when MSNBC executives gave her some bad news about her contract.
Democrat strategists and officials are busy analyzing the recent election results as part of an effort to figure out where they went wrong.
They’re still in a state of shock and awe over Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Kamala Harris.
Despite their years of vicious attacks and smears, Donald Trump won more votes than any Republican Presidential candidate in American history.
He won the electoral college, all seven swing states, and carried the popular vote.
But Democrats are not the only ones doing some soul-searching in the aftermath of Kamala’s humiliating defeat.
The fake news media is also under the microscope.
A former correspondent for The New York Times and founder of the Hollywood news site The Wrap, Sharon Waxman, said the entire media needs “a total rethink” after the election.
“If you’re like me, you haven’t turned on the news since last Tuesday when Donald Trump won the election,” Waxman wrote. “Personally, I can’t bear to listen to another minute of wisdom from Joy Reid, my friend Lawrence O’Donnell, or the admirable Rachel Maddow.”
“I’m not saying I’ll never watch or listen again,” Waxman wrote. “But – am I alone here? – my entire body recoils from listening to more claptrap from the same claptrapping apparatus.”
Waxman is not alone.
The ratings tanked for the news media following the election.
According to Nielsen data, CNN’s ratings dropped by 36% in the days after the election compared to average viewership in October.
It was even worse for MSNBC.
“MSNBC’s ratings have tanked 54% in the days after President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris — a win that left MSNBC’s staunchly anti-Trump hosts speechless,” MSN reported. “The ratings are down 40% from this time last year.”
Of course, MSNBC is the most biased anti-Trump media outlet in the country.
Virtually all MSNBC anchors have Trump Derangement Syndrome, especially host Rachel Maddow.
And according to a report by The Ankler, MSNBC’s horrible ratings just shaved millions of dollars off of Maddow’s salary.
Maddow currently makes a staggering $30 million per year at MSNBC.
But The Ankler reported that Maddow just signed a new contract with a $5 million pay cut.
“We were so Harris propaganda that when she lost, viewers were shocked,” one on-air commentator told The Ankler.
“It turned into one giant circle j*** and echo chamber,” they continued. “If MSNBC wants to be of service to its viewers, they can’t keep them in fantasy land.”
The insider admitted that Maddow’s job was safe given she is their top host.
“This is a difficult time and they needed to keep her,” one executive told The Ankler.
“No one else can do what she does,” they continued. “You can’t build a brand like it overnight.”
A second executive at MSNBC called Rachel Maddow a “ratings Viagra.”
Americans no longer trust the media, and for good reason.
They also have multiple alternative news outlets they can turn to for information.
And the traditional news media is dying because of it.
