Election Night didn’t go the way Democrats wanted.
That led to an ugly display.
And Kamala Harris insulted Donald Trump on Election Night in this awful way.
Kamala Harris disappears on Election Night
Kamala Harris’ supporters gathered at her alma mater of Howard University feeling hopeful about her chances of victory.
Those hopes soon proved to be nothing more than pixie dust as the returns coming in showed the Trump base turning out in big numbers while Trump also made inroads with the traditional Democrat base.
Trump won suburban white women 51-47 percent, took in a GOP-record 45 percent with the Latino vote, and also won 20 percent of black men.
The networks called North Carolina and Georgia for Trump.
Trump held a significant lead in Arizona and Nevada.
That meant Kamala Harris only had one path to victory – and that was sweeping the Rust Belt states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
But those states never provided a lifeline to Kamala Harris’ chances.
Trump blew out the rural vote and cut into Kamala Harris’ margins in urban centers due to Trump’s inroads with traditional Democrat voters such as Latinos and black men.
Shortly after the networks called Pennsylvania in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Kamala Harris’ campaign sent word to the crowd to go home.
This is the death knell of any campaign since no one sends a crowd home if there is good news around the corner.
Fox Channel’s Bret Baier made the announcement that Kamala Harris also wouldn’t appear before the crowd and would instead speak the next day.
“Vice President Harris will speak tomorrow and that will be her response to the election results. That’s all we have from the Harris team, which is really strange. I mean, from a PR perspective, Dana,” Baier declared.
Former Bush administration White House Press Secretary Dana Perino expressed disgust with Kamala Harris’ conduct.
Perino claimed Kamala putting her concession off for a day robbed Trump and his supporters of celebrating their victory in the moment.
Perino compared this scene playing out to 2004 when she worked in the Bush administration and John Kerry didn’t concede to George W. Bush until the following day.
“Well, I also just think it’s a shame because I remember when John Kerry did this to George W. Bush in 2004. And you, you worked so hard. And I know that they’re disappointed, but you should concede and let your opponent have their election night and let them – everybody that’s there at Trump – at Mar a Lago, where are they?” Perino stated.
Perino said back in 2004 it was a major letdown when Chief of Staff Andy Card told the staff they had to wait until the following day to celebrate, which was a major letdown.
“They’re in Palm Beach. Let them have their moment without anyone. Like I remember Andy Card had to come in and say, well, yes, we know we won, but we have to wait until John Kerry concedes. And then we all had to traipse back in the next morning and wait. And you don’t get that moment. I don’t think it’s right,” Perino continued.
Baier reported that Kamala Harris wouldn’t call Trump right then and there to concede the race.
Kamala Harris also fled the scene of her ill-fated victory party without being seen in front of the cameras.
“That’s not to say there’s not going to be a phone call. There could be a phone call tonight, but she’s not going to speak publicly,” Baier told viewers.
Perino thought that was a mistake, as if Kamala wasn’t going to address her supporters and the country then she should call Trump to concede because that way it would explain her not appearing before the cameras.
“If there’s a phone call, they have to make it public and then nobody needs to hear from her. So if I were her, I would do it tonight,” Perino explained.
