Donald Trump took the gloves off with this defense of Pete Hegseth

Donald Trump is joining the fight.

The Swamp thought it could take down all of Trump’s MAGA cabinet nominees.

And Donald Trump took the gloves off with this defense of Pete Hegseth.

Donald Trump comes to the aid of Pete Hegseth

NBC News and The New Yorker published hit pieces using anonymous sources to accuse Pete Hegseth of being a drunk, a reprobate, and an incompetent during his time at Fox News and running a pro-veteran nonprofit.

Hegseth’s nomination looked in danger as RINO Senators Lindsey Graham and Joni Ernst latched on to the smear pieces to try and sink Hegseth’s nomination since he shares Donald Trump’s goal of ending the war in Ukraine.

The Wall Street Journal even published a story reporting that Trump was considering ditching Hegseth for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Hegseth responded by coming out swinging.

Hegseth told a reporter he “didn’t answer” to any of them as he only answered to Donald Trump, the Senate, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Megyn Kelly interviewed Hegseth for a full hour.

And Hegseth made the rounds, meeting with key Senators.

The Hegseth offensive appears to have worked.

Donald Trump issued a statement in Truth Social confirming his support for Hegseth putting Senate RINOs on notice that to oppose the Hegseth nomination was to oppose the 47th President of the United States.

“Pete Hegseth is doing very well. His support is strong and deep, much more so than the Fake News would have you believe. He was a great student – Princeton/Harvard educated – with a Military state of mind. He will be a fantastic, high energy, Secretary of Defense Defense, one who leads with charisma and skill. Pete is a WINNER, and there is nothing that can be done to change that!!!” Trump wrote.

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance followed suit saying the Trump team intended to fight for Hegseth’s confirmation.

“Led by President Trump, we’re fighting for Pete Hegseth. And we’re doing so because Pete Hegseth will fight for our troops. For too long, the Pentagon has been led by people who lose wars. Pete Hegseth is a man who fought in those wars. We’ve got his back,” Vance posted on X.

Incoming National Security Advisor Michael Waltz told Jesse Watters that “he absolutely is. He absolutely is,” when asked if Trump intended to stand by Hegseth.

Waltz reiterated that Trump picked Hegseth because Trump wanted a reformer in the Pentagon, adding that the active duty troops were thrilled that a warrior like Hegseth would lead the department.

“Pete is there and was put there to reform a place that badly needs reform. That’s why President Trump nominated him. I can tell you what I’m hearing from the soldiers. What I’m hearing from the troops is a sigh of relief and cheering Pete on,” Waltz declared.

From Donald Trump on down the Trump team put on a show of force that they intended to go to the mat for Hegseth.
