Doug Emhoff’s ex-girlfriend accuses him of hitting her
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff has been portrayed in the media as the new ideal of masculinity.
He’s allegedly a loving husband and an all-around good guy who supports his wife’s, Vice President Kamala Harris, Presidential ambitions.
But this portrayal hides who he really is and how treats women.
Emhoff admitted to cheating on his first wife with his children’s nanny and getting her pregnant in the 2000s after the Daily Mail broke a story about it in August.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
The Daily Mail reported that Emhoff slapped his ex-girlfriend so hard she spun around in the valet line of a charity event during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival in France.
He mistakenly thought his ex-girlfriend was flirting with the valet and lashed out in rage.
She had tried to give the valet a $100 tip to skip the line so they could get back to their lodge.
Three of her friends confirmed the story and provided evidence to the Daily Mail to back up their allegations.
But the ex-girlfriend didn’t want to come forward publicly for fear of retaliation from the Second Gentleman.
Doug Emhoff’s ex-girlfriend breaks her silence
The woman that Emhoff dated is a high-powered attorney in New York City.
She spoke to the Daily Mail about Emhoff striking her but still kept her anonymity.
The ex-girlfriend was negotiating with the valet when Emhoff slapped her out of the blue.
“As I’m talking to [the valet], Doug got out of the line, comes up, turns me around by my right shoulder. I’m completely caught off guard, I’m not bracing, I’m in four-inch heels, wearing a full-length gown and it’s between 2-3 a.m. He slaps me so hard I spin around, and I’m in utter shock,” the ex-girlfriend told the Daily Mail.
She had never seen that side of Emhoff before.
“There had been no fight, no argument,” the ex-girlfriend explained. “It had been a completely fantastic event. I am so furious. The only thing I could think to do was slap him back. I slapped him on one side, and on the other cheek with the other hand. In that moment, his mask had dropped and I saw his dark side.”
She confronted him on their ride home but he wouldn’t give her an answer about his outburst of violence.
“I can’t believe he just slapped me. I think I said to him in the car, ‘What the hell is wrong with you? Why did you do that?’ And the only thing I could get out of him was he thought I was hitting on the valet,” the ex-girlfriend recalled.
She broke her silence after seeing Emhoff’s heroic portrayal in the media.
“What’s frightening for a woman that’s been on the other end of it, is watching this completely fabricated persona being portrayed,” the ex-girlfriend stated. “He’s being held out to be the antithesis of who he actually is. And that is utterly shocking.”
Doug Emhoff hasn’t been in the national spotlight for long and already his dark secrets are being revealed.
