Britney Spears released her first album, Baby One More Time, in 1999, and her second album, Oops!… I Did It Again, the following year.
Both of them are among the best-selling albums of all time and made her the best-selling teenage artist in history.
With more than 150 albums sold worldwide, Spears is also one of the top-selling artists of all time.
She earned several awards for her hit music, including a Grammy Award, 15 Guinness World Records, six MTV Video Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, the inaugural Radio Disney Icon Award, and she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Overall, Spears is the fourth best-selling female album artist in the United States as well as the best-selling female album artist of the 2000s.
Rolling Stone previously described Spears as “the latest model of a classic product: the unneurotic pop star who performs her duties with vaudevillian pluck and spokesmodel charm” and she earned the nickname “Princess of Pop.”
But the fame eventually became too much for Spears to handle and she hit rock bottom.
In 2021, Spears finally got out from under the conservatorship that her father placed on her in 2018.
“With a fortune of more than $50 million comes secrecy, and the court closely guards the inner workings of Spears’ conservatorship,” the AP previously reported. “The conservatorship has the power to restrict her visitors, it arranges and oversees visits with her two teenage sons, whose father has full custody, it can take out restraining orders in her name, which it has used more than once to keep away interlopers deemed shady, [and] it has the power to make her medical decisions and her business deals.”
At a hearing, Spears claimed she was forced to take mental medication against her will.
But Spears went off the rails after she was released from her conservatorship.
She posted several inexplicable nude photos of herself on social media.
Britney’s fans have begged her to stop with the nude photos and insane pictures.
But the weirdness hasn’t stopped for Britney.
On Sunday, she shared a video on Instagram of herself in a wedding dress and made awkward comments to her more than 40 million followers.
In the video, the former star told viewers that she had “married myself.”
“The day I married myself,” she wrote above the video. “Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done!!!”
