Tucker Carlson was the biggest star on cable news for years.

Now one of his old colleagues is green with envy.

And Tucker Carlson was blindsided after a former Fox News star started this awful fight.

Chris Wallace takes shots at Tucker Carlson

Chris Wallace was the host of Fox News Sunday for nearly two decades before he left for a show on the now-defunct streaming service CNN+ in 2022.

He became critical of Fox News during the 2020 Election and was unhappy with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s Patriot Purge series that questioned the official narrative about January 6.

Carlson was fired by Fox News last year and now has his own independent media operation.

Wallace was asked about his former Fox News colleague during an appearance on Mediaite’s Press Club podcast.

Mediaite host Aidan McLaughlin asked him about Carlson’s career arc that took him to independent media.

“I think it’s amazing what people will do to find an audience,” Wallace said. “I think it’s sad that you try to be reasonably straight, and you don’t succeed at that, and fame, attention, notoriety, whatever it is, some people, unfortunately, are willing to do a lot.”

Wallace – who now hosts a show on MAX and CNN – claimed he got into the news business to “tell the truth.”

“And there are other people, obviously, who are just trying to attract attention,” Wallace claimed. “There’s a lot of ways to attract attention. I mean, fire engines, nude photographs, there’s all kinds of stuff. You have to decide what your standards are.”

Clearly Wallace sees himself as a brave truth-teller on CNN, which pushed the Russian collusion hoax.

Tucker Carlson gets the last laugh

Wallace appeared on MSNBC’s The Beat where he asked about Carlson again.

MSNBC host Ari Melber asked him about a text message between Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Carlson that came out during Dominion’s lawsuit against Fox News.

“My anger at the news channel is pronounced,” Ingraham wrote.

“It should be,” Carlson replied. “We devote our lives to building an audience and they let Chris Wallace . . . wreck it.”

“Your response,” Melber asked.

“Well, I’m employed and Tucker really isn’t anymore. So, that’s part of my response,” Wallace responded. “I had a very good 18-year run at Fox, and they never messed with me the whole time.”

Wallace claimed that Fox News lost interest in telling the truth during the 2020 Election and afterward.

He, like so many left-wing journalists, had his brain broken by former President Donald Trump.

Wallace tried to mock Carlson for being in independent media, but he is languishing on poorly-rated CNN and streaming service Max.

News media like Carlson and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly are on the rise while cable news declines.

Carlson’s podcast has more listeners than most shows on CNN.

His career was far from over when he was fired from Fox News, he evolved with the times.

Carlson is selling out live shows in basketball arenas across the country this fall.

He’s far from being unemployed.

Chris Wallace is a dinosaur from the cable news era whose relevance is dwindling on CNN.
