Celebrities are falling all over themselves to back Kamala Harris.
But not everyone is following the crowd.
And Lady Gaga’s dad made one confession about Donald Trump that shocked Democrats.
Lady Gaga’s dad gives a full-throated endorsement of Donald Trump
Pop star Lady Gaga is a typical celebrity Democrat found in the entertainment industry.
Her father, restaurateur Joe Germanotta, is on the opposite end of the political spectrum.
Germanotta owns the popular Italian restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
He announced that he was supporting former President Donald Trump during an appearance on Fox & Friends.
Germanotta called Trump a “patriot” while calling out Vice President Kamala Harris for saying whatever she needed to say to get elected.
“They’re two vastly different people,” Germanotta said. “One of them is pure and he’s a patriot, right? The other is just going to say whatever she needs to say to get elected, alright? That’s basically what I hear. I’m tired of hearing about her neighbor’s lawn.”
Kamala started rambling about people being proud of their lawns in the neighborhood she grew up in when she was asked about what she would do to lower prices during an interview with a Philadelphia ABC affiliate.
Donald Trump delivered on the economy
Germanotta dismissed concerns about Trump’s “abrasive” personality by pointing to the economy when he was in the White House.
“Six years ago, I was going to have the best year I ever had, at [Joanne Trattoria], until Covid,” Germanotta said. “And when I say best year, it was 25% more than any other year.”
Trump’s strengths outweigh his personality according to Germanotta.
“But the real foundation — I’m not voting for people. I mean, look, Donald Trump, he’s abrasive, okay? But he’s a patriot and his policies are there,” Germanotta continued. “They’re on target, for me anyway. I’m into low fuel and food prices, low interest rates, a good economy, pro-police.”
“I mean, let the police do their job . . . law & order!” Germanotta exclaimed.
Germanotta said that the crime and problems with illegal aliens in New York City were keeping people away from his restaurant.
“We don’t have secure borders anymore,” Germanotta stated. “There’s no more legal immigration. My clientele, my customers, the ones that used to come once a week, now they come once every three weeks. They’re not coming to New York City.”
He drew a contrast between Trump and Kamala on law and order.
“Don’t let these protestors burn down our cities and the small businesses. Keep the jobs here in the United States,” Germanotta stated.
The restaurateur expressed his confusion at Kamala’s economic agenda.
“If you stack ’em up side by side, I don’t know what the hell she’s talking about,” Germanotta explained. “She keeps talking about opportunity zones but the world is an opportunity zone!”
Germanotta said the country couldn’t get any worse than it is now and reiterated, “I endorse Donald Trump – I endorse his policies!”
Lady Gaga backed President Joe Biden in 2020 but hasn’t endorsed anyone this election.
Joe Germanotta, like many Americans, wants to leave the economic malaise of the Biden-Harris for a return to the booming Trump years.
