Virtually every aspect of American society has been infected with the Left’s woke ideology.
From professional sports, to classrooms, to the entertainment industry, to corporate employee training programs, nowhere is safe from the woke agenda.
And now Chuck Schumer just revealed the Democrats’ plan to inject woke identity politics into Artificial Intelligence.
The Left has been trying to force their woke ideology on the American people for years.
But the Biden-Harris administration has taken the Democrats’ support for the woke agenda to a whole new level.
Less than a month after taking office, Joe Biden issued an executive order that mandates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training programs in the federal workforce.
The Biden-Harris regime even injected the woke ideology into the United States Armed Forces by indoctrinating soldiers with critical race theory and teaching them the proper use of pronouns.
The regime also made changes to Title IX, allowing males who identify as females to compete in sports against and use the same bathrooms and locker rooms as women.
Nothing is off limits when it comes to the Democrats’ woke agenda, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
And Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Ed Markey just sent a letter to Joe Biden’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director that shows how Democrats plan to inject their woke agenda into AI.
The letter demanded that any federal agency that uses AI must also have a civil rights office to prevent alleged discrimination.
Schumer and Markey acknowledged the action taken by Joe Biden so far on AI, including his ‘Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights’ and an executive order dealing with it.
But they said that is not enough.
“Without new protections, today’s supercharged, AI-powered algorithms risk reinforcing and magnifying the discrimination that marginalized communities already experience due to poorly-trained and -tested algorithms,” the letter read.
The Democrat Senators recommended hiring “experts in algorithmic discrimination” for each of the offices created.
“By ensuring that agencies have the resources,personnel, and policies to detect and mitigate bias, we can ensure that the AI age does not come at the expense of already marginalized and vulnerable communities,” they wrote.
They also want private companies that use AI to be subjected to the same rules.
“Finally, because a regulation is only as strong as its enforcement, OMB should support federal agencies that take robust enforcement against any company found to violate these rules,” they concluded.
As usual, Schumer plans to start with the defense spending bill.
“We’ve already talked to the Armed Services Committee; they think the defense bill, which will come out later this summer, is a perfect place to do some of these things,” Schumer said.
The use of AI is only going to increase over time.
It’s the future and it’s not going away.
But Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are already trying to ruin AI with the woke agenda.
