And then a 100-year-old West Virginia woman named Lovie Jacobs throws a KFC-themed birthday party that proves them completely wrong.

While Hollywood celebrities throw million-dollar parties for their pets and politicians waste taxpayer dollars on lavish galas, Lovie Jacobs decided to mark her 100th birthday with something that actually brings people together – fried chicken.
KFC catered the whole celebration over Labor Day weekend, complete with themed decorations and a special gift from the company.
But here’s what makes Lovie’s story so refreshing – she doesn’t just love KFC because it tastes good, though she’ll tell you that’s certainly true.
She shares something special with Colonel Harland Sanders himself.
Like the business legend, Lovie is one of 10 siblings and grew up on a family farm.
At one point, she had 100 chickens, a large garden, and a cellar full of home-canned food.

"I love KFC because it tastes so good," Lovie told reporters. "My 100th birthday was so special because of the food, along with all my family that was there."

Just a straightforward celebration of a customer who’s been enjoying their food for decades.
Lovie posed with a cardboard cutout of Colonel Sanders like she was meeting an old friend.
Because in a way, she was.
What the Elites Don’t Understand

Lovie Jacobs represents everything they’ve been trying to destroy about American culture for the past 50 years.

She doesn’t require artisanal ingredients or farm-to-table messaging to enjoy a meal.
KFC makes her happy, and that’s enough.
The woman lived through the Great Depression, World War II, the Cold War, and every cultural revolution since – and she’s still here, still enjoying fried chicken, still surrounded by family who love her.
That kind of contentment and resilience terrifies people who make their living telling everyone else what’s wrong with America.
